Completed various real estate appraisal courses including Standards of Professional Practice, Basic Appraisal Principles, Capitalization Theory & Technique, Appraisal of Urban Properties, Appraisal of Leasehold/Leased Fee Interests, Appraising for Eminent Domain, Valuation of Complex Residences, and Highest & Best Use and Market Analysis, sponsored by the Appraisal Institute (formerly American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers). The most recent of the above courses were Standards of Professional Practice Update completed in October of 2006, Business Practices and Ethics completed in December of 2006, Appraisal Review completed in October of 2007, Quality Assurance in Residential Appraisals completed in February 2008 and Appraisal Challenges: Declining Markets and Sales Concessions in October 2008.
EXPERIENCE Thirty-seven years varied experience, engaged in the appraisal and analysis of various real property interests including fee simple, leasehold, and rights-of-way; extensive experience reviewing the appraisal work of others. Assignments have included retail, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, single-family residential, agricultural, special purpose and mineral resource properties. Appraisals have been completed throughout the Western United States with major concentration in Texas.
